What is Interdisciplinary Studies?

Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS) is the integration of knowledge and methods of thought that are employed from two or more disciplines to create a unique cognitive understanding.
For me, I didn't want to be restricted within one major because I had interests that stretched far and wide. IDS allows me to pursue my creative side with fashion design and the arts while also accessing my analytical interests in Business, learning language and culture with French, and finally relaying these ideas with development in Communications. I am able to simultaneously combine what I love to do with the knowledge of how to produce and market it. I am able to integrate ideas and modes of thinking and make my dreams my reality.
